Music at the Heart of Fulham

Anchor 1

The CHORAL SCHOLARS of St John's Church, Fulham, are a prize-winning, internationally renowned ensemble of 8 who study and interpret a wide range of the sacred repertoire with great passion, commitment and... a lyrical touch!

Every year since 2013, all successful candidates have been enrolled in the Robert Presley Choral Scholarship Programme, named after St John's most loved professional bass and historic member of the choir.

The scholars sing at all regular church services throughout the year, as well as partaking in competitions, recording sessions and live concerts.

In recent years, St John's Choral Scholars have sung in various notable venues, including: St Peter’s Basilica (Vatican City), Palermo and Messina Cathedrals (Sicily), and Sant’Andrea della Valle in Rome (Tosca’s church).

They also won the first prize at the 2022 edition of the CHORUS INSIDE International Choral Competition in Rome, performing some of the finest works by Howells, Poulenc and Bairstow.
