CHORAL SCHOLARS WANTED
Wanna feature in our Hall of Fame beside?
St John’s Church, Fulham, wishes to appoint 2 new Choral Scholars for the academic year 2023-2024.
The following positions are currently available:
1x Tenor I and 1x Tenor II/High Baritone.
Our Scholarships offer a unique opportunity on the London scene to develop a high standard of ensemble singing in a relaxed, laid-back environment.
We are St John's main church choir, a prize-winning, internationally renowned ensemble of 8 dedicated to singing our regular weekly services and to studying, performing and recording a wide range of repertoire (spanning from Rossini’s Péchés de vieillesse to Moses Hogan’s adaptations of Afro-American spirituals).
We are looking for people who wish to contribute to our ongoing musical growth, and who are eager to share their competence and artistic vision with us.
Ideal candidates will be excellent musicians, confident singers, able sight-readers with some experience of choral singing, a positive learning attitude and a good sense of humour.

A 'polite' run-through of The Battle of Jericho by Moses Hogan, before our performance at the 2023 Sicilian Choral Festival.
Bagheria (Palermo), June 2023
We have recently sung in St Peter’s Basilica (Vatican City), Palermo and Messina Cathedrals (Sicily), Sant’Andrea della Valle (Tosca’s church), where we won the first prize at the Rome 2022 CHORUS INSIDE INTERNATIONAL Choral Competition, performing some of Howells’s and Poulenc’s finest works (watch our performance here!)
Our plans for 2023-2024 include: an international choral competition, three recording projects and a choir tour.
