Worship is about giving to God his ‘worth’. At St John’s we think that means giving to God the very best we can in sight and sound and action, so we use ceremony, music, flowers and incense to glorify God and help us come closer to understanding his love for us. Like the early African Martyrs ‘we cannot exist without Sunday’; our very best efforts go into our Sunday worship. There are different services for different times of day and for different moods and you're welcome to join us as we seek God in Jesus through Word and Sacrament.

The Eucharist is the centre of our lives - not just something for Sunday mornings but the heart of what we live out day-to-day. This act of thanksgiving that Jesus commanded us to do in memory of him, is celebrated each day as we gather to hear scripture and break bread together. We also have time in the Eucharistic Presence of Jesus in Holy Hour on Tuesday evenings at 6pm.

The clergy have a duty to pray for the parish twice every day. How much more powerful is that prayer when the people of God join with the priest to offer 'psalms, hymns and spiritual songs' to the Lord?
