THE Robert Presley Scholarship Programme offers a unique opportunity on the London scene to develop a high standard of ensemble singing/playing in a stimulating, young, and supportive environment.
In 2013, the first scholarship was set up in Robert Presley's name, as a living memorial. Every year a number of Presley Scholarships are awarded to our best-auditioning applicants. Together, they form the Schola Cantorum, an ensemble of eight Choral Scholars, students and graduates of London's conservatoires and universities.
We look for people passionate about a wide range of repertoire (both sacred and secular), excellent musicians, and natural team workers.
Ideal candidates will be confident sight-readers with experience of choral singing/accompanying and a good sense of humour; experience of church music is useful but not essential.
We welcome applications from students in Higher Education, recent graduates, young professionals.
