Currently, we offer free musical experience and training in the form of
two distinct choirs:
The Parish Choir is
non-auditioning and comprises members of the congregation who are
committed to leading our worship and a love of singing (as well as
wanting to sing more beautifully!). This choir sings at our 10.00am Parish Mass
every week but focuses on producing a special piece on the third Sunday of each month. Rehearsals take place
every Sunday mornings at 9.30am.
The Schola Cantorum is auditioned and made up of professional and semi-professional singers who perform a
wide range of music. The Schola meets to sing at our Parish Mass and
Choral Evensong on the second Sunday of each month. In addition to this regular commitment, the choir sing at the occasional festal Solemn Mass through out the year. As with the Parish Choir, singers meet at 9.15am on Sunday, as well as at 5.00pm for a rehearsal before the 6.00pm Evening Service.
For more details on any of these ensembles, call the Parish Office on 020 7385 7634 or email the Director of Music. |
