Praying together

Prayer is talking to God and can be done anywhere, anytime. But there is an added dimension when we come together to pray. Jesus promises that when two or three are gathered in his name that he'll be there amongst them (Matt 18:20) which is surely encouragement enough!

However, don't we need to feel that we're getting something definite for ourselves, something practical. Thessalonians 5:11 describes prayer together as building us up, encouraging us in our faith and daily walk with Jesus.

Your clergy pray daily - it's partly what we're trained to do - but it's also because our task is to build up and encourage the Church. Because we're human we like to feel encouraged and built up in our faith and we always enjoy praying with people at Morning and Evening Prayer. See the services section on the main page for details.

Would you like to join us?
